My name is Matt and I'm a newbie from Davenport, IA. I have a wonder wife and beautiful two year old daughter who is a hand full! I work full time as a Foreman for a National Cemetery and I'm also in the Army Reserves. I have been in the Army Reserves for 18 years and been deployed to the Middle East three times. That brings me to why I'm interested in real estate. In about three years I plan on retiring from the Reserves (I will still keep my full time job) and want a way to supplement that monthly income. So rental property seems to be the way I want to go. It took a little convincing to get my wife on board, but after having her listen to a few Bigger Pockets Podcast, she's excited to get started on this journey too! We're both still brand new to this, reading books and listening to podcasts, just trying to soak up as much info as we can. We are interested in Multifamily and trying the BRRRR strategy.
