New member in Maryland

Hello BiggerPockets community! I am a new member living in Columbia, Maryland. I bought a short sale house right after college, fixed it up, and house-hacked for 7 years before moving out and turning it into a full rental. My current house in Columbia was a fixer-upper that I did a full gut rehab before moving in. I am a professional musician (trumpet player) as my day job, but also really enjoy real estate and am looking to make it a bigger part of my life. 

I am interested in investing in buy and hold properties, possibly small multi-units, in Maryland. I am looking in several different areas including Baltimore and its suburbs as well as the Washington DC suburbs. I am eager to network and learn from other BiggerPockets members and really appreciate all the helpful information that people have posted. I know there are several REIAs in this area and am looking forward to meeting some BiggerPockets members at those events!

Welcome to BP. Many BP members attend the Anne Arundel Meetup as well as the Gaithersburg Meetup. The BWI Meetup is one of the larger REIAs on the east coast. If you search in the forums here you should pretty easily find info on them.
