Hi All-

A friend of mine recommended I listen to the Bigger Pockets podcast about a month ago (the Grant Cardone episode) and since then I’ve been addicted…podcasts, books, forums. Very excited to join the BP community.

About Me:

I'm new to real estate investing. I bought a condo in Williamsburg, Brooklyn in 2011 which I used as my primary residence up until this year. I'm now renting it out (and living in a nearby unit that I rent). I was also involved in the development of a small (20K SF) self storage facility where I own a minority stake. I'm looking to become more active in REI and utilize the equity I've built out in my property.

From an investment perspective, I'm interested both multi-family and self-storage opportunities (I have a little bit of knowledge from my self storage experience and I'm completely new to multi-family). I love the idea of investing in properties nearby by, but I'm quickly realizing it's nearly impossible to get reasonable returns in NYC at current prices. So I'm open to other areas as well. And from a networking perspective, I'm looking to connect with anyone with similar investment interests…or anyone who just wants to chat about REI. Looking forward to connecting!

Matt
