Newbie from South New Jersey

Hello everyone. My name is Latasha and I’m from New Jersey. I’m completely new to real estate. I’m willing to learn a lot about it. I hope to meet new people in my area and learn from the experts. I’ve been in the Air National Guard for 14yrs and decided I want to start something new. I want to start my own business in real estate as an investor and pass it on to my son when he gets old enough, that’s my goal. 

What type of books is good to read? Are there meet ups or connections in South Jersey?
