Greetings BP Community!

My name is Alex Thompson and I am from Marietta, GA. I graduated from Tuskegee University with a B.S. in Aerospace Science Engineering in 2016. I relocated back to the Atlanta area in September after spending a year in Seattle as a stress engineer with Boeing. I am excited to start building wealth for myself and my family, and willing to make the sacrifices right now that others at my age don't have the willingness to do.

I've been on the outside looking in on this site for a few months now as I took the time to dive into educating myself about real estate, personal finance, and other topics through the forums, podcasts, blogs, books and all the other info oozing from the site and on the internet. You all have been a huge influence on adjusting my mindset and taking initiative to get into the RE field. And for that, Thank You! Today I decided to go ahead and create my account, because why keep waiting? One of my personal development goals is to activity get better at leveraging my network, and creating the account and posting is a good step in doing so.

Some initial goals of mine include partnering with other investors on a fix and flip as well as obtaining a 2-4 unit to house hack. I've been looking for deals online through Zillow, Truilla, Redfin, etc. I even went on a drive for $ adventure through SW Atlanta earlier this week. Although I have come up empty it has been a good practice to get out there and look and analyze some numbers just to get familiar with the process.
