New investor from Wamego,KS

Hello :) My name is Jean Keller and my hubby is Eddie. We live in a small town called Wamego, about 8 miles from Manhattan,KS. We are reasonably new investors, in rental properties initially, but are currently in the process of remodelling a home to sell in the next 2 months. We have been in construction for many years and currently own and operate a Drywall Contracting business as well as a Siding & Gutter Contracting business.
A friend of mine in Australia told me to look at this site and i am so happy he did! I have been totally engrossed for the last few hours reading all the different forums and features on BP and I only hope to try and return some of the knowledge i have already gained! We only invest in Manhattan,KS and Junction City as there are still good bargains to be found, and we have had great success in renting our properties. Being in the construction business has really helped with our costs and we also manage our own places. If anyone ever needs estimates done for properties that are in this area please do not hesitate to contact us.
I love real estate and am constantly scouting our area for good deals, being ones own boss allows me the time to do this!
Well, I hope to forge new friendships here with like minded people , and try and contribute and help anyone if i can.
Finally, I would really like to commend the members here. This is the first forum that i have come across that in well over 5 hours of reading , have not found a single negative post, nor any type of nastiness!! There have been some topics that created great debate, but it seems to have always been done with great respect for each others opinions. I am very happy to become a part of such a nice community!
