Hello BP community,

I'm Oliver Amaya from California, but I'm currently assigned to Fort Bragg, NC. I have no experience in REI, but have began the first step of research and commitment. I plan to purchase my first home in the next six to eight months using a VA loan. I will occupy the home until I'm reassigned or I'm able to afford an upgrade. I'm looking for a single family home that will become an asset in the future. I'm not sure what to look for just yet, a house in need of some cosmetic work? Or a ready to move in home? I want to add value to the home while my family and I occupy it. During that time (+/- 18 months) I would like to increase it's value and attract future tenants.

Looking forward to gaining education and knowledge as well as building relationships.

Thanks,

Oliver Amaya
