Hi everyone - I am a new BP member.  I have gone through some of the podcasts (there's a LOT) and now the obvious next step is to introduce myself to the community.

I don't have much of a background in real estate. I do oversee an investment fund that has originated ~$800M in mostly hard money loans over the past 6 years.  However, my role has been one of oversight - i.e., we pay an investment manager to source, underwrite and asset-manage the portfolio.

Both my wife and I have full time jobs that we don't plan to leave at the moment.  However, I would like to diversify our portfolio a bit and it seems real estate may make sense.

I am not interested in flipping or wholesale at the moment.  I "think" that I would prefer to own a few units for the passive income.  I know real estate is typically not passive but one can hope.

I think that sums it up for now.  I have some questions which I will post in another forum.

Thanks!

Tim
