Canadian looking down south
Hi All
I am new the BP and currently focused in the development space. We help land owners develop their properties and create a partnership to bring them increased value in their land.
I am looking to break into the multi family market specifically in the US since it's near impossible to cash flow in Canada. Does anyone have some suggestions about a Canadian investing in US. Tax implication, corp structure, area to target. Cash flow is king here I am not focused on appreciation. The strategy is to BRRRR over and over and over to build a solid portfolio of cash flow properties be eventually retire :)
Really excited to join the community and meet local investors.

In October of 2016 I purchased a single family unit in Warner Robins GA. This was my first foray into the US market, and the biggest challenge is that more money is required as a down payment than here in Canada. Getting financing was more challenging than I thought, but it worked out - at a higher interest rate than I would have been stuck with here in Canada. I did not do an LLC.
