Newbie Investor from Houston, TX!

My name is Tejus Patel and I'm a born and raised Houstonian! I am a newbie investor that currently works in the IT as a Systems Analyst for a Big Box Retailer in Houston, and am currently looking to be an investor - with a goal of acquiring 10 rental properties by the end of 2019 using the BRRRR method. I found BiggerPockets through its amazing podcast, and like many have been hooked at the possible of creating wealth through real estate.

Truthfully, I've found this site a long time ago but never took real estate investing seriously - as I focused more on building e-commerce websites because that was what I was interested in. However, after I purchased a property and realized I didn't do the type of analysis that an investor would do, I've landed in a situation where I don't know whether I should sell the property outright, fix and flip, or rent - which is where my journey will start as an investor.

I hope to learn as much as I can in terms of what I can do in my current situation, to finding others who are similar minded, to building a strong rental portfolio & helping others do the same.

Great to be here!
