Hello BP members, I am new to the real estate market and have been educating myself as much as I can to start this venture by reading many books and listening to the BP podcast. I am 30 years old in the Chicago west suburbs area (not that I'm limiting to that area) and I am looking to bring any kind of value to someone in exchange for knowledge, friendship, and maybe a partnership to begin my steps in this community . I hope to be able to work with someone soon and be able to help one another.

@Rick Pinney, I am willing to work hard to learn the ins and out. I was previously in the military and have a strong and dedicated work ethic. Being in the military, you learn to be able to adapt to your surroundings; therefore, I am a quick learner. In the military I was an aviation electrician so I am familiar with electrical work. I am unsure of how to get started so I want to surround myself with like minded people to help me along the way. I work in the afternoons and, therefore, am free in the mornings and weekends. I am familiar with some minor construction because I have built different structures on mission trips.

@Gilian Gegawin, @Dorian Jones, @Maria C Quimpo, @Bill Hampton, @Dhru Das Thank you for the warm welcome and great advice. I have been back tracking through the BP podcast while commuting in my car(I am currently on episode 220) and I have been reading real estate books in my free time. One thing that I haven't rad but will read next is the  beginner's guide Bill mentioned.

I am not against house hacking but its not something that would fit my current situation.
