New member from Los Angeles

Hey Everyone,

My name is Chris and I just recently signed up with BiggerPockets. I'm amazed to see how interactive and helpful this community is. I've learned a ton from just reading in on some of the forums and watching the podcasts.

I would like to start investing in real estate and hopefully make it into a full time career in the near future. I'm currently in the Los Angeles area where prices are definitely out of my affordability. I'm curious to know if anyone else is working in this same market and if so, is there any pointers you could give me?

Any information is welcome, I'd love to hear other people's experiences and advice. As well as bounce ideas back and forth with. I'm looking forward to this next step, I hope that I get a chance to meet some great people along the way.
