Hello BiggerPockets community. I have been lurking around the forums for awhile now and listening to a lot of the podcasts. I do mean A LOT of them. For the better part of this year I have been learning as much as I can about real estate investing. I still have a lot of uncertainties (read: fear) about taking the next step of finding a deal and making an offer.

I currently work for state doing IT Security. I enjoy working with technology and don't foresee that ever stopping. My goal with REI is that financial freedom and control over my future. While I love what I do, I do not want to be trapped in my job. My trip down this rabbit hole all started with 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad" like so many others. It was eyeopening in many ways. From there I have been listening to many audio books on the subject as well as podcasts.

I am at the point where I really need to get over the fear and make a deal.
