Newbie from Bronx, NY

Greetings everyone,

This is a wonderful community I must say! I have been researching for the past couple of months on how to muster the courage to go into real estate. I found this site and the posts here are just awesome, very fruitful and a lot of experience here. I just had to join the family as to learn as much as I can.

My goals to be financially independent has always been to invest in real estate but having lost my job last year and with little or no money/credit I can't do much in REI. However, I still have to pursue my goal.

I know I have to take care of my basics but quite frankly, a mentor/guide would be so beneficial at this point and please, your immeasurable advice here would be so much appreciated.
