College student. Getting started in real estate

Hello BiggerPockets

I am a currently a senior in college. As I will be graduating soon and looking for a job, I have come to really think about what I can do to help secure myself financially. After reading a few books by Kiyosaki and listening to BuggerPockets podcasts, I have come to understand that starting early is a big advantage when it comes to investing and real estate. So I would like to know your input. What can I do to get started while still going to school for something completely unrelated to real estate (engineering student)? If there was anyone in the same, or similar position as I, how did you get started and how are you doing for yourself now? Thank you so much.

-Adrian
