New Member from Boston, MA
Hello fellow BP members,
I am a week old BP member, wanted to say a quick Hi to everyone in the forum.
A li'l bit about me: I am a software engineer at Boston, looking to passively invest in real estate. I currently live in Melrose area.
I am currently trying to read and listen to as many books on rental property investing and podcasts as possible. Some of the books I started with are Brandon Turner's book on Rental Property Investing and Rich dad Poor Dad. Looking forward to get J Scott's book on estimating rehab costs as these books align with my short term goal of getting a rental multi-family home in the Boston suburb areas with a BRRR strategy. I am planning to continue the reading process for at least a year before I take the plunge as I save up and have a plan. In the meanwhile, I would love to hangout in the forums and learn a thing or two.
Also, I am planning to attend some of the REI club meetings in the Medford-Melrose area. So far, I have shortlisted Fitchburg as a potential area to invest as I see some sub 100k properties.
Hoping to meet and talk to you all soon.
Thanks.
