I have just been a reader of this forum so far. I thought it was time to come out from the shadows. You all seem like a great group with alot of knowledge of RE.

I just baught my first house. Ugliest house in a beutiful neighborhood. I plan to fix it up and sell. If the market has dropped between now and when I sell I may rent it out instead. I plan on painting, doing the floors, cleaning, cabinets, landscaping etc. All cosmetic work, the major stuff is all new. Also, this house has a full unfinsihed basment. I would like to add one more bedroom, a living room, and a bathroom (this would be the last thing I did). I am not sure if I could get $$ back on this. It is only a two bedroom one bath and 1040 sqft right now so a 3/2 would be much better and it would add alot of Sqft. What do you guys think.

I am not sure how to add an image, but the house is Burnt Orange with a dark brown trim.
It all looks green to me! (color of money)

Phil
