Aloha BP!  I have been watching videos/webinars, reading articles, and lurking the forums for some time now, figured it's time to take ACTION and introduce myself!  I'm a landlord from Hawaii.  I recently acquired 2 properties in Hawaii from my Dad, paid off both mortgages, and have one rented out, while the other is still occupied from my Dad.

My parents, coming from the Philippines, worked very hard for these properties, it'd be a shame to sell them without knowing what I can do with them. It was then I decided that I want to go all in with learning about REI. It took us a while to get to this point, but my girlfriend and I finally made a big move and moved to Denver, CO for the sole purpose of building our wealth through REI. We have family all over the US so we love to travel. We want to be able to travel without having to wait on PTO's and Vacation hours and answer to someone for 40+ hours a week. And we both hold a dream to open up our own coffee shop some day. This is our current WHY.

I am very fresh in this and would love to be pointed in the right direction.  At this point, I want to build and stabilize my cash flow through buy and holds, then eventually learn more about fix and flips.  Generally speaking, what would be the best route in pursuing this?  We currently mess around with doing about 1-3 analysis a day using the BP calculators, but don't really know how to move forward from there.

Anyway, it's great to be a part of this community, hope to meet and learn from some of you soon, especially in the Denver area!

@Luke Miller Coming to Denver was more of a personal decision as I've never lived anywhere else than Hawaii.  I always knew it was something I had to do someday for my own personal growth.  So among other prospect states, Denver stood out to me.  Now that I'm here in the mainland U.S. rather than stuck on an island, I have  more wiggle room for my endeavors.  I'm only interested in rentals as of now because rentals is all I have had some experience with.  From what I've been encountering, Denver isn't so hot with rentals, so I am open and very much looking forward to learning of other pathways like flipping and wholesaling.  I'm just really excited to have made it out here and learning of all the possibilities.
