New in North Texas (Dallas Area)

Hi folks.  I'm Matt from the Dallas area.   By day I'm an I.T. consultant for a large blue technology company. 

I don't have any real estate investing experience but I just jumped into my first RE deal by taking an option on a pre-foreclosure where I expect to capture about 40k in equity after expenses. I am particularly intrigued by the idea of using my Roth IRA money to do deals...

I found BiggerPockets after Googling for the best flooring to put in this house and was very impressed by the amount of knowledge-sharing I saw in the forums.
