Bauer Student Planning Ahead

Greetings all, I have been listening to the BiggerPockets podcast for about 6 month now and have finally made an account. A little about me: I am currently a Junior at the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston (Go Coogs). I am pursuing a BBA in Finance with a speciality in Real Estate. I am currently employed as an Appraisal Intern and work on valuation management , appraisals, and technical reviews (for CRE internationally) Why REI: Real estate intrigues me.There are so many stories of people who had little to nothing to their name and through real estate secured financial security and escalated their net worth. The term "Passive Income" sounds like a dream come true, so why not make this dream a reality ? I am a very competitive , determined individual, which are key characteristics in this field. I want to be Financially stable and then some, and to be able to live my life to the fullest. Goals starting out : College and my commutes are expensive , so I need some initial capital before I get into my rental portfolio . I want to start out wholesaling , specifically in my residential area (North Houston, near 77388). I will start my driving for dollars this upcoming week. I have a few Buyers from networking , but I need to expand this list. I'm more focused on Finding the Deals , as I've heard countless times "if it's a good enough deal, a buyer will come". I will either co-wholesale or wholesale a property by the end of the year. How BP can help me: I have done my due diligence and read countless blogs/forum posts on wholesaling. What I can provide : I am willing to search for deals, budget to the best of my ability , make reports with comparables, and do anything I can to provide value. Let me know what needs to be done and it will be done. I look forward to connecting with many like-minded individuals. I will be focused on the Greater - Houston - Area , specifically north Houston.
