New Investor from Plano, Texas

Hey everyone! My name is Josh. I'm brand new to the real estate game!  Over the past couple of months, I've been listening to the BP podcasts and reading the recommended books from there to educate myself.

I currently own a home in Plano, Texas and rent out the spare rooms in it to pay the mortgage, but I'm growing tired of having roommates.  My immediate course of action is to transition over to a small multiplex and rent out the extra units so that I can live alone and still have the property paid for by someone else.

My goal is to acquire enough buy and hold properties to be able to retire on the cash flow within 6 years.  I currently work as a software engineer if that matters to anyone.

I look forward to interacting with everyone on the forums, and I hope we can help each other achieve our goals!
