Hello all,

My name is Jim Dell. I have no previous background in real estate(I considered investing about 8 years ago, but the fear bug kept me on the sidelines), but am willing to learn. I am primarily interested in a buy and hold strategy for investing. I think I would like to start with single family units, but the idea of larger units is appealing too. My first goal is to learn and save (and or raise) enough to purchase my first property before the end of 2018. Unfortunately, I am currently paying down a lot of debt or it would be sooner. My long term goal is to be able to have my own REI company and be able to quit the rat race for good. I don't mind working hard, I just want that work to be for me and not someone else.
