Newbie from Saratoga, NY

Hi everyone,

My name is Ashley Clemens and I'm 27 years old. I'm from the Saratoga, NY Capital Region area, but have spent the last four years living and working in Brooklyn, NY where I have been a teacher and instructional leader in a charter school. I have no real experience in real estate aside from learning through BP (podcasts, articles, books, and webinars over the last 2 months), and also from learning through my dad who has managed a handful of rental properties and now flips 1-2 houses per year in the Albany area. 

I am moving upstate to invest in townhouses, single and multi-family homes in the Albany/Saratoga area and also open to house hacking using the BRRRR strategy. I am interested in networking and learning more about how to efficiently and effectively analyze deals so that I can start making passive income through rent/holds.

@Ashley Clemens, welcome to BP.  Saratoga is one of my favorite places in the country.  I'll be spending some time up there in August for sure!  One of my real estate goals is to be able to make enough money to be able to take 6 weeks off, rent a house and spend the whole racing season in Saratoga.
