I'm an accountant in Atlanta, wanting to become an REI

Hello! I'm 28,  and I work full-time in a public accounting firm as a tax accountant.   I've been interested in real estate investing since late last year. Since then I've been learning a lot through several books and the Bigger Pocket Podcasts.

I still have a lot to learn, but at this point, I feel that I need the real life experience more so than the book knowledge.

Ideally, I would like to work under an experienced investor to learn in and out about REI. But I'm not really sure how I can work with my schedule.

My work schedule is fairly flexible with core hours of 9:30-4:00 M-F, but I have to be at the office 40 hours a week. Workload during this time is very minimal so I have a lot of free time at the office.

I don't need to make money (although little extra income would be nice), but I want to get some first-hand experience in finding a deal, analyzing the deal,  etc with some guidance.

If any investors in Atlanta/Marietta/Sandy Springs area can tag me along to the deals on the weekends or weekday evenings, I would really appreciate it.

If there's anything I can do to bring values to you in flexible hours, please let me know.

Thank you!
