Newbie moving to North Carolina

I have been lurking BP for a while now, but just haven't posted anything to date.  As I intend to move in the coming months from Philadelphia, PA back down to Charlotte, NC I realized I have been slacking in utilizing the very best tool to assist me to having a successful start in real estate.

To start off, I am 23 years old, and have been out of university for a little over a year now (University of North Carolina at Charlotte).  Throughout my collegiate experience, I have been blessed with the ability to work within a wide range of roles, but specific to real estate, I was able to work at a boutique PE my senior year, which primarily focused on the acquisition of SFRs within 13 metros in the US.  Following my graduation, I accepted a job at a healthcare consulting and valuation firm in Philadelphia, whereby I performed various analyses within the healthcare sector.  Needless to say, I have hated it from the beginning, and knew I made a mistake the second day I was there.  I knew my last internship had me hooked on real estate..

Through the combination of being in a foreign place for over a year (Southerners just aren't meant for Philadelphia - Apparently it's not normal to start random conversations in the north?  Who knew?) and having my mother pass away at far too young of an age last year, I have determined that I will be moving back to Charlotte, where I am looking to obtain a position within the real estate industry, and network as much as humanly possible within the upcoming months.

As of now, my goal for 2017, aside from acquiring a position back in Charlotte, would be to acquire my first residential, value-add, multifamily (preferably 3-4 units) within the greater Charlotte, NC area utilizing an FHA loan. After this, I plan to drastically expand my knowledge of CRE to prepare for my first (small) apartment complex, utilizing the capital I have saved up to date.

With all this being said (apologizes for the long post), I would love to connect with any local BP members/investors/business professionals in the Charlotte, NC area!
