New Investor in Dallas, Texas

Hello. My wife and I are just getting started in real estate investing in the Dallas area. We are both from Oklahoma, but moved to the Richardson area in 2014 where I work, and just recently moved to nortwest Mesquite with the purchase of our first home.

Neither of us have much experience in real estate, but I worked for a contractor in high school who owned 4-plex apartments and I also did the demolition for the remodel of our current house. I've been following Bigger Pockets for a while and am listening to the audiobook of The Book On Rental Property Investing for the second time now. I am eager to learn, network, and find our first deal!
