I am Gene and live in Dallas Texas. I have been thinking about starting in REI for years but never found the time. I am forcing myself to find the time now! I am starting to read quite a bit but am still a newbie for sure. I am excited to learn from other people's experience and hopefully contribute. I saw where there was a Dallas meetup on January 28th. When is the next Dallas networking opportunity?

I have owned several properties in Louisiana and decided managing myself distance is a pain. A managment company would have made the properties ROI questionable so i sold quite awhile back.

I hope this is a good resource and the bad advice or spammer influence is kept to a minimum as I am a regular on other forums and have been frustrated at times with the lack of regulation of those sites. BTW, the site seems a little slow or sometimes will not load at all. Is this normal or just a recent pitfall?
