Hi All!  Discovered BP about a month or so ago, been listening to the podcasts almost daily,  commenting on discussions when I feel I have something to contribute, yet I just discoverd this forum to meet new members like myself.

My name is Paige and I live in Baltimore, MD aka Charm City. I'm a Non-Profit Professional by day, aspiring Real Estate Investor by night. I've researched and observed the REI realm for at least five years and recently made up my mind to get serious and just jump in. Having made that decision, I recently completed my real estate agent licensing classes and will take the state exam in a few weeks. At the urging of a friend, I attended a MAREIA meeting, pitched a few deals which were well received and am now actively seeking my first deal.

My immediate goal is to build enough cash reserves which would allow both my husband and myself to quit our 9-5's within the next year.  He is a former federal contractor and now works as an appraiser which certainly helps with our plans!  My primary vehicle for accomplishing this is flipping.  Eventually I'd like to establish a rental portfolio and enjoy the stability of passive income while still conducting flips.

I'm interested in meeting folks from all over and look forward to learning as much as I can from the pros as well as the newbies.

Take Care!

@Antoine Martel Thanks for the warm welcome : / We've actually thought long and hard about our strategy. When I said I was a real investor by night, it wasn't to be taken literally. My focus is finding the deal, creating and ensuring we adhere to the budget, and securing funding. As a former federal contractor, my husband knows professionals in almost every trade. As an appraiser, he is self-employed and has the ability to act as project manager on a daily basis, in addition to assisting with repair estimates. We are partnering with an experienced investor who's assisting us in every aspect of the process and recently met an experienced HML who is also going above and beyond to help analyze the deals presented to ensure our first flip is successful for all involved.

BRRRR is certainly a strategy we plan to add to our arsenal, just not at this time, but I appreciate your concern and look forward to learning more about how you've used it to complement your portfolio.
