Hello BP and my local El Dorado & Sacramento County RE investors!
Hello BP and my local El Dorado & Sacramento County RE investors!
Newbie investor here and I just wanted to say hi. I've been watching the forums for a couple of months now, reading up on REI, learning how to analyze deals, and developing a strategy that can work for me. I feel that I'm becoming more & more book smart and am ready to start "cutting my teeth" in REI.
My short-term (3-5 yrs) areas of interest are Fix 'n Flip and BRRRR while longer-term (5+ yrs) interests lie in commercial investing (syndication, apartment, and storage). I would love to meet local RE investors to discuss strategy, building a team, market forces, RE auctions, key players, etc. I'm fairly handy and am willing to hustle in exchange for information. :)
I'm excited for the journey and look forward to meeting like-minded folks on BP!

@Michael S. - Thanks! I'll definitely check out the BP meetup as well as the local Sacramento meetups.
@Aaron Kaplan - All great suggestions that I'll look in to. Thanks! Very true! There is a wealth of information out there and I can see how one could get stuck in the analysis paralysis. I am finding that the key for me will be to decide on a strategy that fits my goals & lifestyle and then dive in, ignoring other strategies in the meantime so that I can focus. In working on my strategy I've actually considered MFRs in your neck of the woods. A colleague of mine has done very well investing near college campuses and hasn't had a single vacancy in over 5 years. What's been your experience in the Chico REI market?
@Dave Visaya - Thank you Dave! I am looking forward to being a part of the BP community.
