Hi BP Nation! My name is Tiago Alencar, married up to my hot wife and have one son. I've lived in the Salt Lake Valley for the last 14yrs. The 14 yrs before that I lived in Brazil. Just like a lot of people here the book with the guy with two dads was my turning point. I always had an entrepreneurial mind set but never really understood it until I read that book. Since I finished that book for the first time four years ago I still haven't done a real estate deal and the reason why is because I believe that my expectation was not realistic. Since trying to start in RE wasn't working out, I decided to start a more traditional business cleaning carpets, windows etc, and have learned through building this business what it really takes to get a business off the ground, aka looooooooooopottsss of work, perseverance, and money. Now that my expectations are more realistic I thought it would be a good time to start looking at real estate again, this time with a LOT more realistic expectations, and humility.

Welcome Tiago.

I am new as well and just to the south of you in Utah Valley.

I am in the same boat as you are with the two dads book. That changed my outlook on my future as well.  I hope you are right and it is a good time to get started in real estate.

Anyways welcome I wish you all the luck.

Josh
