Good day to everyone on BiggerPockets! This is my very first time ever joining a virtual community I'd like to formally introduce myself! My name is Carlos Ortiz! I'm a 23 year old College student finishing his senior year in the concentration of Computer Information Systems at Brooklyn College. I'm taking a chance and being as transparent as possible to get the best scope of my situation and desire. I feel I'm at a place and time in my life where I question what am I worth and what will that worth provide me. I'm sure most college students soon to graduate fear that what are they going to do after they graduate. However, you would think with a concentration of Computer and Business related material, that wouldn't be the case. However, since I was 18 I always had a full-time job and was raised with the practice that work is more important than school. To a degree this is truly correct, however I also believe taking time to acquire knowledge to build a brighter and stronger future is more important than working a job that will be of no significance once you leave. To conclude my experience in school, I do not feel I will be graduating with the knowledge my degree believes it prepared me for, for my concentrations all these years was to ensure I mastered what was need to learn for my jobs. This is probably too much information but this is why I want to change my life. My Bank Account is -$200 with $0.24 savings and a $2,400 credit bill with a $5,500 car loan with a $18,000 school loans after paying $6,000 tuition already with $300 car insurance a month. As you can tell I'm having a financial crisis. I NEVER want to experience this again. ------------------ I want to learn Real Estate Investing. I want to truly master it so that I can live the life I always dreamed of living. I'm searching for Knowledge. I need guidance. I joined this page because I need help and I truly believe BiggerPockets is the right way to go. So my question is, where do I begin? What do I do? Can someone please help me. I need guidance!
