So hey guys my name is Matthew I'm an investor in Philadelphia pa. I'm 26yrs old and own two properties. I also have a full time job. I got my start in real estate by reading Rich dad poor dad, it simply just change the way I thought about finance and the type of life I wanted to live. I bought my first house at 21 it was a duplex. I lived in one unit and rented out the other (which more than covered the mortgage.) I purchased my second property (3bed/2bath single) using owner occupied financing (5% down)two years later. The rent collected from the duplex covers both mortgage. The plan was to buy another house using owner occupied financing two years later, but sadly I was involved in a pretty bad motorcycle accident which put me back a couple years. I'm adjusted to my new life now and looking very much so to get back in the real estate game. I came across the bigger pocket's book on investment with no or little money down. Which lead me to the Podcasts, I started at episode one (I'm trying to catch up.) and from there I joined the site so now I'm here. My real estate goal is to ultimately own a large apartment complex and have a property management company manage it so I can have control over my time and what I do with it. I hope to learn a lot from the members on the site(i've learned so much already from the Podcasts) and also give back what I know. I will be closing on my 3rd property next month. I have so many topics/ questions I would like to go over, but there is one that is the most pressing. I could use some advice. I'm working with a bank currently to purchase my third property. I got prequalified for the mortgage back in April but also around that time I applied for two credit cards so they didn't come up on the credit report that they ran. One of the cards has a 9% interest rate so I open it to transfer the balance for my higher interest credit cards to it. The other is just rewards travel card. The travel card has a 0 balance and the new lower interest card is almost maxed out, but The two cards balances that I transferred now also have 0 balances. I really wasn't thinking about it until the past few weeks. What should I do, in regards to the two cards that I opened and letting the bank know?
