Hi BP nation, native Philadelphian here!

Just a little background to begin: I had nearly $80k in student loans when I got out of college. However, I never got financially responsible until 3 years ago when I realize I need to get these loans out of the way and so I really focused on being frugal and smarter with my finances and finally was able to pay off the student loans.

With the loans gone, I was able to really think about growing my income. I signed up for BP but never really dug deep into the real estate investing world. I chose to try my hand in stocks and funds instead, and that did not play out very well to say the least though I did learn a few things (maybe I'll give it another go another day).

Forward to today, and here I am. There is an overwhelming amount of info I need to educate myself with. I have been catching up on the latest BP podcasts for the past few weeks. I'm diving into REI with the mindset as if I know nothing. So far with what I've found, the idea of house hacking a MFH seems to be the front runner for where to start best for someone as new as me. I also would love to shadow or go through a typical day with a mentor to really show me the ropes of it all - this would be superb. Would love to hear more or better ideas for a complete newbie to get started.

Thanks, looking forward to learning more and hopefully get my feet wet.
