Newbie Looking for Advice on 1st Flip (Houston)
Hey Bigger Pockets. If you were in my shoes, how would you go about breaking into this business?
My Situation. I live in a Spring, Texas, which is just north of Houston. I have the time to manage a project full time. I can offer man power, but I don’t have a background in anything construction related. Most importantly I have the desire and passion to make this happen! I’ve wanted to flips homes for awhile now, but I have yet to come across a deal where the math works out. I am doing my best to stay patient and not force a bad deal, but I admit I am getting really anxious to get rolling.
So with everything lined up except the actual deal itself, where would you focus your efforts and how would you go about tracking down your first deal? Auctions/Foreclosures, Wholesalers, MLS, Investor Friendly Agents? Find someone with a deal and partner up? Or something else I'm not thinking of?
If anyone has any connections that could help, I’d love to be put in contact with them. Any advice or knowledge you can shed is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
