Hello All,

My name is Greg Routen and I wanted to quickly introduce myself. I've been one of those guys that's been lurking behind the scenes but I'm ready to start taking some action. I just recently got my real estate license to help other investors (run comps, submit offers, etc.) and to invest a bit on my own. Would appreciate any feedback anyone might have if you work with an agent. I'm just trying to get an idea if investors are still using agents. If so, how does that partnership work regarding commission/finders fee, how agents can bring value, or any other info you might have on this type of partnership.

Ideally, I'd like to help investors locate properties (MLS and off market) and have some type of commission or finders fee in place for each closed deal. I understand that this can certainly be unrealistic in today's market, but wanted to get some feedback from the BP community.

Thank you all for your time and any help would be greatly appreciated!

@Greg Routen - Welcome to BP, Greg (even though you've been here for a while).

I'm an investor and real estate agent in Boise, Idaho and owe a lot of my success and growth to the BiggerPockets community.  I work with a lot of out-of-state clients who have heard that Boise is a great town to invest in.

I always encourage members to listen to BP Podcasts and attend local Meet Ups!  Such a great way to get connected.

I look forward to seeing more about your journey, Greg!  Welcome.
