Hello BP,

I have been a member of BP for several years but up until now primarily utilized the handy search function to find desired information contained in the large forum discussions.   Thanks to bigger pockets for supporting this platform and everyone who actively contributes their time and information.

I am well rounded life long learner who is currently working as a IT project manager within healthcare industry.   I continually find myself gravitating towards real estate and investing but have not made a dedicated goal to change primary occupations as of yet.

My real estate experience started when I became an unintentional landlord of my primary residence while we moved from Colorado to Texas for a couple years.   We didn't want to sell in down market and have since moved back into our house in 2014.... which was an odd experience as it took 5 minutes to hang all the pictures back up knowing where they all belong and had nail holes already in place.  Overall this was a very positive experience and started what will be a life long journey in real estate.

Since the first experience was good, we purchased a SFR in Indianapolis and owned it for 2 1/2 weeks before the tenant decided not to pay rent which ultimately lead to eviction and received some valuable lessons about ineffective property managers. Thankfully our second SFR was in Jacksonville Fl and has gone much better.

Recently I have become interested in note investing and had absorbed as much information as possible and plan to continue down the note investing space and specifically taping into self-directed 401k

Looking forward to contributing to the body of knowledge and getting to know the bigger pockets community much better.
