A biologist from Quebec city want to househack

Hy!

My name is Maël Fortin, I am 21 years old and I just finished my licence in Biology in Laval University, Quebec. However, I've always worked in sales and want to continue on this path.

In the moment I live with mom and Dad, but my goal is to ''househack'' before september this year! I want to start my personal adult life on the right track and avoid the ''rat race''. Whit this vision in mind I have been able to save quite a bit of money in the last years, now is time to deploy my capital.

I came on bigger pockets to learn the basics of real estate investing. It have been a wonderfull decision and I have learned a lot trough hundreds of hours of listening. But I now feel I need a more practical help.

I dont know the market, I have no experience in landlording, I only have a handfull of contacts... what I am really seeking for here is advices on my particular area: Quebec city since most of the real estate related information I know is from the US market via BP. What are the major differences between real estate from the podcasts and real estate here in Quebec city?
