Looking to learn and contribute
Hi Everyone,
My name is Prem Schoff and I've been a casual observer of REI for the last few years. I'm interested in investing in real estate as a buy and hold strategy for positive cash flow in rental properties. I'd like to get started in SFH's and then eventually move up to multi-family/apartment buildings. I live in NJ and not sure of the opportunity here for what I'm looking to do. Therefore, I'm thinking of buying a duplex as my first property - living in one unit and renting out the other. I've listened to a fair amount of podcasts that suggest turn-key SFH properties in midwest/south (Memphis, Dallas/Ft. Worth, etc.) as being the best opportunity to cash flow.
By day I work as a VP of Business Development in digital marketing. I'm curious to gain knowledge and feedback from others on the site and add value to the community as I continue to learn.
Best,
Prem
