Back from the Dead and ready to Deal in Hawaii

Hello All!

I'm not really a newbie here at BP but I've been gone for sometime. So I'd like to try and bring my momentum back to my REI education. I want to know if there are any local investors on the island of Oahu that would like to fill me in on how you make your deals happen here.

I found out today from a title/escrow company that this is a lawyer state and that an attorney is the one to draw the contracts. Also I was told flips are illegal here. Meaning Mr. B can't go to Mr. A and get a purchase agreement sub-to and turn around and lease option to Mr. C. Can anyone clear this up for me or was I misinformed?

Did I mess up by talking REI lingo with conventional workers? lol I was just wanting to know how things worked in Hawaii, so I asked. Thanks for any feedback.
