Hello BiggerPockets community!  My name is Andrew Marsh and I am an aspiring real estate investor from Omaha, Nebraska.   By day, I am a certified public accountant with a broad spectrum of experience ranging from financial statement assurance services to income taxes and beyond.  Growing up, I had some exposure to the real estate industry as my father was (and still is) a real estate broker and self-managed several properties years ago in my home town in Kansas.  I have always been interested in real estate, but finally began learning more when my father introduced me to the BiggerPockets podcast about two years ago.

My real estate experience to date includes preparing client's tax returns, reading, researching, and, of course, learning from the BiggerPockets podcast.  I am currently in the research phase focusing on the art of analyzing deals and narrowing down target markets.  My ideal first rental property is a multi-family property and I am leaning toward hiring a property manager versus self-managing.  My short-term goal is to find my first property within the next 18-24 months with my long-term goal of buy and hold investing with enough cash flowing properties to supplement or possibly replace my income and support my family's desired lifestyle.

Outside of my career and interest in real estate, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children.  We frequent the zoo and other outdoor activities during the spring and summer and hope to brave our first camping trip this summer with our 3 young kiddos.  Beyond being a family man, my biggest hobby is home brewing and the satisfaction of enjoying my very own hand crafted ales or sharing them with friends and family.
