It's all about mindset

I'm pretty new to Bigger Pockets.  I have been pouring through articles, podcasts and webinars.  I took a guru course before I found BP but I consider myself very fortunate considering some of the stories I hear.  I am on podcast 33 at this point and you hear time and time again it's all about the mindset.  I can see where someone new and anxious to get started could laugh at that and say its all about the money.

Personally I couldn't agree more about the mindset.  Simply by changing your mindset to one of abundance rather than scarcity creates a shift in how someone sees their life.  With that simple shift you can then create the beginnings of a map.  I always wanted to learn about real estate so it makes sense that I read a book about investing.  It sounded good so I dug a little deeper.  Today I'm completely consumed with listening to BP and analyzing deals.  The point is, and I'll keep it an I statement,  if I didn't change my mindset I never would have known that there is a road map to change your life.  I have not even done any deals yet although I'm looking for them. What I have learned however is that there is potential everywhere.  I can help my family make the best financial decisions, potentially making them a lot of money.  The single biggest reason I want to be a real estate investor is for my family.  If I can help them before I even strike my first deal or building my business,  I think that is pretty amazing.

If I hadn't made my mind up to live great and build a real estate business I never would have known all the possible ways that you can help people with this business.  I cant wait to continue my experience learning and growing this business and I can't thank BP enough for being such a critical resource.
