New Member from Temple, TX
Hi, I am Chris. I am 30 years old, currently living in Temple, TX. I've bought 3 different houses, sold 1 and have done most of the work on them myself. For my day job, I am an Electrical Designer and while I love what I do, it's not what I want to do for the rest of my life, especially now that I know that there are tons of real estate opportunities waiting for someone like me. Here are my deals so far:
SFR 1, Arlington TX -- bought for $43,000 + $3500 renovations -- sold for $84,900
SFR 2, Temple TX -- bought for $90,000 + $4000 renovations (ongoing) -- not yet sold, but realtor comps are at minimum $120,000
SFR 3, Belton TX -- bought for $35,000 cash + $7000 max reno budget -- realtor comps are at $90,000
My long term goal (5-10 years) is to have a successful flipping business (8-12 per year) and eventually have around a dozen rental properties, but right now I am working toward being able to flip a couple of properties each year and become more experienced with all facets of the real estate process.
