Young & Motivated Apprentice moving to Charlotte

Greetings BP!

I have been a member for several months now but decided to finally dive into the forums after reading countless articles/posts, listening to dozens of podcasts, and reading multiple books that have been recommended by podcast interviewees (Think & Grow Rich being my favorite so far).

Exactly a year ago, I graduated from Xavier University with a BA in Sport Management, but after several internships I did not feel I was going to get the satisfaction I desire from that career path. As such, I am working in Upstate NY as a general laborer for a remodeling company. However, I have been adamant since graduating about moving to Charlotte.I have plans to move at the end of the summer (I just visited last weekend for the 2nd time and LOVED it!)

My immediate real estate plan is to work for a real estate firm, get my hands dirty, and make connections in Charlotte. Within a couple years, I want to house hack a multifamily unit.

With this in mind, I am reaching out to any and all BP members, specifically those in Charlotte, to discusss the market/jobs/rentals/etc...

Thank you for all your contributions!

Congrats Ryan! I was born and raised in Apalachin, went to Vestal Schools, and moved down to Charlotte 3 years ago. It is a great place to live!
