Fort Worth Newbie - Intro

Hello!

I've started listening to the Bigger Pocket Podcasts over the last couple months.  I've always had an interest in real estate, but never access to such valuable information and education.  One of the podcasts said to come and post as a new member and to be transparent.  I've never bought a house before, but I am interested in purchasing my first home and "house hacking" in my first property.

I have interest in all aspects of real estate, however, moving forward, I would like to focus on buy and hold/rent.  I'd love to meet and talk with other local investors about the local market and any wisdom I could get.

I currently work in Oil and Gas as a Landman.  I have a lot of title experience which could be useful in the real estate world as well.  The oil and gas industry is pretty cyclical, and it's a good idea to outside sources of income for the down times.  I am actually an employee, which is rare as a Landman.  I feel like that could help me in terms of being able to find lenders.

I'm excited to be a part of this community and look forward to building new relationships and growing my portfolio.
