New to Real Estate~Moreno Valley, CA

Hi everyone! 

My name is Carrie Warren. I am a California native. I live in Moreno Valley, CA. For those outside of the state that is 30 min from Ontario Airport or 1-4 hours from LA depending on traffic! HA! 

My current career is teaching. With the school I am involved in, odd things are happening and backstabbing involved I have to leave! I LOVE people, LOVE to travel and touch peoples lives. What other field does that??? Real Estate! So here I am. I'm currently completing my courses online with Conser Real Estate School. I'm on the 2nd course of 3! I'm hoping to have my courses and the exam done no later than mid-July. I also have a prospective broker who is willing to hire me. Although from the reading I have done thus far I need to meet more brokers and staff to see where my personality best fits. I'm incredibly outgoing and that doesn't always fit well with everyone. (Years of experience has made that very clear)

My second goal is to fix and flip! My husband is a Cal Fire Firefighter and is a handy resource for fixing things! Our tax guy also said we are close to the point where we may need to have a rental property to help us during tax season. I'm also very excited about that prospect! 

How I came to know about BiggerPockets was investigating a "too good to be true" apprenticeship. I was very glad to have found the thread here that said it was not a good route to take and that networking (oh I love to network!! Did marketing for the school I worked for and attended chamber meetings and such to network the heck out of the school!) and folks like you are more then willing to share tips and tricks!
