Where do I begin in this process?

Hello, i'm new on this site.  At present, I'm not a real estate investor. However I am interested in becoming one. I work full time and my real estate experience is limited to the purchase of my current single family home which me and my family live in. At this point I am trying to get educated. I've been listening to several podcasts a day. But I was thinking of taking the real estate licensing course. 1. I can gain some more education 2. It would provide an oppportunity to network and 3. I could potentially make money on the side to invest. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.
