newbie from NY interested in investing in Jacksonville

Hello everyone,

I am a newbie, new to BP and learning! I have a F/T good job but am interested in investing and creating more flexible lifestyle and future. RE market really excites me!  I read and try to learn as much as I can. My plan is to buy and rent single family properties outside of my state. NY state is too expensive!!! After doing initial homework, I decided to start with Jacksonville, FL. I am currently analyzing zip codes which are worth investing and looking for a reliable RE agent and management company. My partner talked to a recommended RE agent last week however this person seems to be extremely busy and I got a weird feeling he is more interested in dealing with more seasoned investors/buyers. Any advice on Jacksonville and starting out?

All the best and good luck to everyone

Margo
