The beginning of my Real Estate journey

Hi, I am 32 years old, married for 11yrs, and a father to a beautiful 8 yr old girl. I am a Bankcard Operations Supervisor at a banking institution and recently made the decision to get into the Real Estate business. I have done my research on ways to get started in Real Estate and, though there is no "must start here" introductory phase, I have decided to begin my journey within the wholesaling sector. I feel this will be a great way to gain capital and ultimately begin my investment portfolio. Going out in the field and getting my feet wet is key to get my business started, at least this is what has been repeated several times through the Bigger Pockets podcasts and I agree.
