Aspiring Investor from NJ

Hi Everyone!

I'm very glad I found this site. I'm just starting out in the real estate investment industry; i'm motivated, determined, and hard working. I'm looking to own a handful of income producing properties by the time i'm 30. Next month i'm going to join a local real estate investment group.

I live in central NJ, just graduated college a few years ago and been saving money ever since. I've been reading a lot of articles on BP and want to finally make my money "work" for me.

For my first property, i'd like to get one of the following:

*Central NJ: a two family property and rent out both sides to different families.
*Ewing NJ: a single family property and rent out to college students
*Jersey Shore: a condo/condotel in wildwood NJ or Cape May that appeals to summer rentals.

I've been trying to decide the pros and cons of each.

There are a lot of "get rich quick" schemes and traps online. I'd like to find someone who can help me avoid the pitfalls and be successful in my investments. I wouldn't mind helping out an experienced investor for exchange for some knowledge and tips.

Looking forward to growing with you all!
