New to Rentals in Central Kansas

Hi Bigger Pockets!

Our family farm acquired a nice house through a farm land purchase eight years ago.  This Spring, I am on a steep learning curve transitioning it from employee housing into a class A rental.

Real estate is not much different from our production farming and cattle ranching--both are a numbers game involving calculated risk, best played with decisive patience. On the other hand it is a whole new world of strategies and opportunities.

We have the goal of diversifying our cattle-land portfolio with five more buy and hold properties in the next year.

My first priority is building a strong foundation of systems--which is what brought me to Bigger Pockets.

I want to learn from others mistakes and successes. The info in the BP forums and podcasts is exactly what I was looking for---before I knew what I needed.  Thank you to everyone who shares so generously.
